How is it that the economy has become an excuse for acceptance?

I do not read the forums often, but find myself intrigued by the regular mention of the current economic status. In such, how its acceptable for program owners to get away with basically stringing their members along with promises that they cant keep. And some members are using it as an excuse that its ok they are clicking thousands of a cent links. It helps pay their bills and such.

Follow up:

The current economic status is why they cant buy things from programs and affiliate links. Ok I buy that, money is tight. But yet these same people have the funds to buy affiliate pages which they know they wont make their money back on because they will have to pay for it to be advertised somewhere. these same people buy upgrades which could be food in their refrigerator to advertise the other programs they are on. And all at the same time use it as an excuse for not buying every day needs. The economic status has them broke yet they can throw away their money on worthless drivel.

So many of late boast that ptr helps supplement their income, or is their main source of income, yet spend hours clicking thousand of cent links and blowing money on other programs to advertise other programs. While I do not deny that the economic state is shaky and headed for places divinity only knows where, I wonder if this money is an income or supplement to one, why are you spending it like its monopoly money?

Over the last few years it has been one excuse after another with paid to read. It seems that just when the excuses are running dry another crops up to take a stand and be the turning point for even more senselessness.

Some would probably just love to ask, if I am so down on paid to read why am I still in some programs. Why haven't I moved on to what ever pastures that there are for me. The answer is simple... habit. I have been doing this for far longer than most who are around now days. Call it an excuse, call it what ever you like. Its the plain and simple truth of it. My programs I belong to have been minimized. My expenses do not outweigh my means. I spend only what I can afford to lose. After all that is the main gist of it all. It is what should be. I also am not wasting time either. I do make money at this. Not a lot. Definitely not enough to live on. But I do come out in profit every year. And most importantly, I do not make excuses as to why I am not buying. I do not need the economic situation to be an excuse for my not making purchases. I buy if I have the means, I do not buy when I don't. Plain and simple.

What will be the next excuse which breeds acceptance I wonder?
