For a little over a year, I have been a part of this program. Gomez Peer is simple enough. You install a program which works in the background of your system. In such, you get a portion of funds for each active hour of your computer in which the Peer does "work". On months where you earn a total of five dollars or more, they are supposed to deposit those funds into your account, and your account balance is reset to zero.

Follow up:

Since October 2008, I have accrued a sizable amount of funds in my account. And in that time, I have not been paid one penny of those funds. The Peer program has recently been uninstalled from my machine.

Though I have read time and again, that people have been paid from this program, I have, in 14 months never received even a single penny from the folks at Gomez peer. Leaving me with the impression that they pay whom they choose when they choose.

Not a program I would recommend to anyone at this point. Years ago, when I was then a Gomez member, I received regular payments. That is why, last year, I once again signed up for the program. I figured, since I had a pleasant experience prior, that I would again. I was wrong on so many levels.

Here is a screen shot of my ending balance. Money that was supposed to be deposited into my Paypal account but never was. I wrote them on four occasions with no reply, that should say enough right there.

Since I am so unhappy with the results, some would venture to ask why I did not uninstall it sooner. The simple answer is, I forgot it was there.

All in all, Gomez Peer used to be a reliable and paying program. Recent experience has shown that it is no longer that way.

Anyone interested in joining the program, I would suggest you think twice. Not only is there the issue of some not being paid, and shoddy customer support, but think of your security. When I uninstalled the program, I was privy to a list of files I never knew existed. Files which had access to the internet during the time it was installed. I have no way of finding out just what was provided to just anyone. And never will.
