Men just don't listen

Wanda's dishwasher quit working so she called in a repairman.

Since she had to go to work the next day, she told the repairman, "I'll leave the key under the mat. Fix the dishwasher, leave the bill on the counter, and I'll mail you a check."
"Oh, by the way don't worry about my dog Spike. He won't bother you. But, whatever you do, do NOT, under ANY circumstances, talk to my parrot!" "I MUST STRESS TO YOU: DO NOT TALK TO MY PARROT!!!"

When the repairman arrived at Wanda's apartment the following day, he discovered the biggest, meanest looking dog he has ever seen.
But, just as she had said, the dog just lay there on the carpet watching the repairman go about his work.

The parrot, however, drove him nuts the whole time with his incessant yelling, cursing, and name calling.

Finally the repairman couldn't contain himself any longer and yelled, "SHUT UP, YOU STUPID, UGLY BIRD!"

To which the parrot replied, "GET HIM SPIKE!"

See - Men just don't listen!

Original post blogged on b2evolution.

Eyebrows, those tiny

Eyebrows, those tiny, little hairs above our eyes that many women either pluck, paint, pierce or tattoo play a very important role in keeping moisture out of our eyes.

Just like an umbrella keeps our bodies dry from the rain, our hairy eyebrows keep our eyes dry from rain or sweat.
When it's pouring rain outside or when sweat drips down from our foreheads, our eyebrows divert the flow of water or sweat away from our eyes.
Our arch-shaped eyebrows angle the rain or sweat around to the side of our faces--leaving our eyes fairly dry. By catching the water or sweat, our eyebrows not only allow us to see more clearly, but also keep salty sweat from burning or irritating our eyes.

Eyebrows have other roles also. As one of our most expressive facial features, eyebrows help us determine how people are feeling without ever really asking them.

If a person's eyebrows are frowning, chances are they are mad or upset. In addition, eyebrows have an increasing impact on our beauty/fashion culture over the years.

First Chocolate Chip Cookie

Did You Know?
The first chocolate chip cookie was invented in 1937 by Ruth Graves Wakefield (1905-1977), of Whitman, Massachusetts, who ran the Toll House Restaurant.

The Toll House Restaurant site was once a real toll house built in 1709, where stage coach passengers ate a meal while horses were changed and a toll was taken for use of the highway between Boston and New Bedford, a prosperous whaling town.

The Wakefields sold the restaurant in 1966. It burned down on New Year’s Eve in 1984. One of Ruth’s favorite recipes was an old recipe for ‘Butter Drop Do’ cookies that dated back to colonial times. The recipe called for the use of baker’s chocolate.

One day Ruth found herself without a needed ingredient. Having a bar of semisweet chocolate on hand, she chopped it into pieces and stirred the chunks of chocolate into the cookie dough. She assumed that the chocolate would melt and spread throughout each cookie.

Instead the chocolate bits held their shape and created a sensation. She called her new creation the Toll House Crunch Cookies. The Toll House Crunch Cookies became very popular with guests at the inn, and soon her recipe was published in a Boston newspaper, as well as other papers in the New England area.
Soon after, word of the chocolate chip cookie spread!

Cooking Cape Achieved - Jade

Level 99 Cooking achieved January 15,2009.
Lori & Barb were there with me to celebrate.

Now that this has been achieved, the cooking gauntlets have been changed to Gold Smithing gauntlets. It now means that all fishing is pure profit as can sell raw at a higher price.

The Gold Smithing gauntlets will allow me to smith gold at 56.2 xp per bar instead of the 25 xp per bar. Thus allowing me to raise my smithing that much faster. And as I use a lot of gold bars, it is a win win situation all the way around.

Original post blogged on b2evolution.
